The advantages and disadvantages of the three types of controls are listed in this course. Also discussed are details of typical control strategies for VAV, single-zone, constant-volume air, and dual-duct systems. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: Identify the legends used in control system schematic diagrams; State terms related to basic elements of a control system; Describe the three types of control hardware used in HVAC&R systems and list their advantages and disadvantages; List the elements that are present in a complete conceptual control system design; Describe the VAV control system and state energy efficiency strategies related to it; Describe the controls present in single-zone systems and dual-duct systems and explain their functioning.
